9 incredible skills (that feel like superpowers) you can have
Here are 9 incredible skills (that feel like superpowers!) you will have after my program.
-
Know exactly what to do when someone is panicking, raging, totally shutdown and won’t speak to you or generally freaking out
Simple tools that can keep you in a state of calm – as well as influence the other person so they return to calm too (& no it’s not magic!) Be it your partner who won’t tell you what is wrong, your child who is panicking, your friend who is ranting and seems uncontrollably angry – these skills work on anyone.
2. Have the ability to work through any feeling so that it doesn’t dominate your day or week or year
Instead of being pulled this way and that by your emotions, know how to face them and work them through your body so you gain release! So you feel light and joyful instead of being locked up in a lengthy uncomfortable emotion.
3. Know how to support yourself so you don’t get pulled into other people’s feelings
So you don’t have the sense that other people’s feelings are ruining your day, creating problems for you or are being thrown at you, or are somehow your problem/your fault.
4. Know how to effectively help someone when they are sad or angry, fearful or any other emotion
So they can process that feeling and feel so much better. Immensely useful when your child is stressed out by their exams, or your mother is worried about an upcoming hospital visit or your partner is feeling enraged by some injustice they read about. No fixing or ideas required (in fact they are discouraged). Just pure powerfully effective emotional support.
5. To know how to repair things when things have gone wrong with your partner, child, friend, family member
When mistakes have occurred, when we’ve said or done the wrong thing, when we feel full of guilt or shame, how we can support ourselves so that we know how to repair the damage in our relationships – so you build stronger, safer, more trusting and loving connected relationships.
6. How to quickly come out of any state of overwhelm – from panic to mists of rage, or the urge to just escape or totally numb out and distract yourself
When things feel too much, when the emotional pressure of life is overwhelming, when life feels impossible – how we use simple tools to bring us out of too-muchness so we don’t have to live a life of being overwhelmed, drawing in our feelings or being way beyond our capacity.
7. Know how to get to the root of small things that seem to derail us and we don’t know why
When we (or someone else) has a huge reaction to what looks small, there is always a reason. Emotional patterns that need support. Be it someone’s shoes left in front of the door, or not being invited to a party – small things show us where bigger, more challenging emotional experiences have been left unhealed and unsupported.
8. Recognise the core emotional wounds we are carrying and how to go about supporting ourselves towards healing
So many of us carry emotional pain from the past. How do we finally bring healing to those emotional parts of us that keep appearing and looking for attention? How do we release the pain of the past and finally resolve those unhealed emotional wounds?
9. Have the language that will help us be heard and seen when we’re talking about what we need from our loved ones
So that instead of having conflict around expressing our needs and values, we know exactly how to say tricky things to our loved ones, without things descending into emotional chaos.
All in all this course will give you an incredible toolbox that reframes how we deal with emotional activations so we feel confident, calmer and more empowered
If these sound like awesome things you’d love to learn how to do…
In an empathic, gentle space with a group of like-minds who are as keen and as eager to learn these self-healing tools.
